I’m Amy Richardson, a fundraising leader and strategic advisor who helps nonprofits turn a compelling mission into meaningful relationships and lasting philanthropic support. My career spans Christian ministry, the arts, cultural institutions, and public media, giving me a broad perspective on how organizations can connect their vision with the people who want to help bring it to life.
As Senior Impact Advisor at Gloo, I worked alongside ministry partners to clarify their mission, strengthen their messaging, and develop philanthropic partnerships supporting national initiatives. My work included foundation relations, proposal strategy, and the cultivation and stewardship of major donors, ministry leaders, and other partners.
Previously, I served as Senior Director of Development at The Navigators in Colorado Springs, where I led a multidisciplinary advancement team across writing, analytics, and stewardship. I guided major donor communications and multimillion-dollar foundation relationships, partnered with senior leadership on strategic messaging, and helped strengthen the relationships and resources supporting ministry nationwide.
Earlier in my career, I served as Senior Director of Development at A Noise Within in Pasadena, Executive Director of Individual & Campaign Giving at KCETLink Media Group in Los Angeles, and Senior Director of Development at the Autry National Center. Across these organizations, my work encompassed annual and campaign giving, major gifts, corporate partnerships, and donor stewardship. These experiences deepened my ability to communicate a mission clearly and build partnerships around shared values.
Throughout my career, I have helped cultivate and steward donor relationships resulting in more than $20 million in philanthropic investment across multiple organizations. I bring both strategic direction and hands-on support to my consulting work—from shaping a case for support and developing a donor pipeline to preparing proposals, guiding teams, and creating thoughtful donor experiences.
My approach is grounded in faith, integrity, and a spirit of service. I believe generosity grows through trust, clarity, and meaningful relationships. I want leaders and donors alike to feel heard, valued, and connected to the work we are advancing together.
I studied English Literature and Religious Studies at the University of Redlands and earned a master’s degree in Theological Studies at the School of Theology at Claremont. My background in writing and theology continues to shape how I listen, communicate, and help organizations articulate the purpose behind their work.
I live in Colorado Springs with my husband, Kent. We have six children and twelve grandchildren, and family is an important part of my life. That same appreciation for connection and belonging carries into the way I partner with clients and care for the relationships entrusted to me.
Across ministries, cultural institutions, and public media, my work has connected generous partners with opportunities to make a lasting difference.
